Iberostar Jamaica

The Iberostar Grand was just great . Rooms were exceptional….. choice of 7-8 different types of pillows, larger bathrooms with whirlpool baths , separate shower room, commode and his and her vanities on opposite sides of the bath. Free Internet access in each room. Good business center with free Internet access… only shortfall was that you had to go to the office for any printing. First class spa with inside wellness pool, roman baths , saunas, steam rooms etc. They monitor the access from their other two properties very well with security stopping anyone with the grand bracelet…. so no kids at all on property or at the beach. Butler service , concierge service etc was top notch. Outside pool was large with a sit down swim to bar and the pool connectivity allowed for some privacy as well.

Restaurants…..

Reservation restaurants :Surf and turf and Japanese were the best. Italian was okay and we did not go to the Gourmet as we went to the Japanese twice and the Surf & Turf twice and the regular dinner buffet. Breakfast buffet and lunch buffet were both good with ample selections…. lunch continuously had lobster tails and crab. They did a Jamaica cook out on the beach that was good as well.

We left premise only once…. I hired a private driver ( $150 US) and we had a Mercedes van for the five of us that took us to Dolphin cove and to the Falls. It was great as he gave us the local insight and we left and came back on our terms.

Evening entertainment on sight at the Iberostar although varied is a bit amateurish .. but fills some time. Booz is all top shelf.

I’d go back again
