Sandals Negril Beach Resort and Spa

We arrived at the hotel around 3p to be greeted with cold towels and Champagne. This was a very nice start to one of the best vacations we have had in a while. The last time we stayed here was 8 years ago for my birthday with 22 friends. We had a blast then and this was to be a relaxing vacation with just my husband. I wanted to see what they had done with the property. Well it is all good! Our room was the Penthouse River Suite with a butler. The room is georgeous. Flat screen tvs, double jacuzzi tub (which the butler filled with bubble bath and flowers nightly), separate open shower, monster king bed, sitting area and balcony with a stunning view of the river pool and beach. At night the fire pits were in front of our room so it was beautiful. I also got to see the Romeo and Juliet suites and they are amazing. Although they do not have a beachview I would have stayed there.

They added a beach restaurant (Barefood by the Sea) serving seafood. The food was great the service was a little slow but it is Jamaica. The 4C now serves Italian. The Pesto with everything is fab! The service here was wonderful. The Sundowner has not changed much and still has great food and service. Kimonos is like Bennie Hana but with singing. The only down side is the hamburgers are still not US hamburger it is some kind of mix with I think sausage. Every restaurant is resort casual so no need for pants for men or fancy dresses. Not that you can’t dress up but so not necessary.

Everything about this resort says relax. The beach is beautiful and if you are lucky enough to get a clear night the sunset is unbelievable.
